The Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) was established under the Intelligence and Security Act (2007) to be a directorate under the Office of the President. The DIS was established to investigate, gather, coordinate, evaluate, correlate, interpret, disseminate intelligence and store information.

Brig. (Rtd.) Peter Fana Magosi
Director GeneralBrig. (Rtd.) Peter Fana Magosi joined the army at the age of 22 and progressed through the ranks to become a brigadier. At one point he was a member of Special Forces, an elite unit within the military, and later headed Military Intelligence.
